Legit Roster Question please explain

I have xboxlive, I download the "living roster".....

So why in the F is Boston still #1 overall?! Bulls offense is #18 (their O isn't great...but #18, what a joke.) The Heat are #5?!

I get that it updates trades, injuries, I have noticed and liked that. But, WTF don't these ratings change.

You know how Madden changes the ratings as the season goes (like Cowboys were supposed to be good then plummeted, Packers got a boost for winning it all, etc.)

This was my first year with 2k, and I've really liked this game. However, to me this is inexcusable to have "updated rosters" and still have the Boston Celtics as the numero uno....what a joke?

Someone tell me I'm doing something wrong and it's not really this way...

Bulls offense is terrible what are you talking about?the Celtics are a legit #1 with the overall team they have and Miami only has 3 great players and 9 average players, it averages out..Just because Miami and Dallas are playing in the finals dont mean they should be 1 and 2.

could not agree more. the best overall teams dont always play for the championship. the ratings are pretty accurate for the most part i think.

OK...Bulls offense thing, I won't fight that battle. It just seems to me like these overall ratings haven't changed a bit.

You do realize that these are 7-game series right? This isn't March Madness where one upset and you're sent packing. I totally disagree with you guys saying Dallas and Miami AREN'T the two best teams. DALLAS SWEPT THE LAKERS!!! What do you guys want? For them to play 99-game series? Seriously, WTF?
But, how in the F can you guys tell me that Boston is the best team in the NBA? WTF?

Some of these other ratings are just bad....I personally hate the Heat...but how in the F can you justify them being #5? Get real.

Ratings and rankings are just that... Ratings and rankings.

Boston has a better overall team than Miami. Hence the better ranking.
Doesnt mean they are going to the finals or are the best team in the league. Thats why its a "team" rating or ranking. It doesnt account for the greatness of Lebron James or Dirk Nowitzki or the collapse of great players like Pau Gasol and Kobe who clearly didnt play as well as they are capable of.

IMO theyve done a good job updating the rosters. You'll notice that guys like Noah, B. Griffin, Aldridge, Rose, among others recieved a pretty significant boost in rating over the course of the season.

Dallas is not the #1 or #2 team in the league. They are top 5 but I would think the Celtics, when healthy, are probably a better team. Like they've said, they are just ratings. They aren't definitive where if you sim 100 season, the Celtics will win it 95% of the time because they are ranked #1.

And the Lakers aren't that great anymore. Sweeping the Lakers says more about LA than Dallas.

That statement is true.

Yet the Lakers are ranked high. OKC is super-low.

Oh well, I guess I'm in the minority here...I guess I'll just have to sit at home and watch the Finals....just like Boston.

I wonder if Rondo plays 2k11 and wonders why the Heat are ranked #5.

Put again, it is just based on the ratings of the players. LA has good players; doesn't make them a good team.
