Last night I picked up Athlon's Southeastern edition at a grocery store in the greater Houston area.This always helps get me pumped for the release of NCAA Football and begins the countdown, for me, to the real football season.

Also just saw the Lindy's Southeastern version at a Barnes and Noble.

Good to see they are starting to come out. I always pick up Lindys,Athlons,Sporting News, and Phil Steeles magazines. I cant wait to pick them up when I get home on Saturday.

When I get paid, I'm going to go pick up Athlon Southeastern... I'll go to the local bookstore and just look through Lindy's, most likely won't buy it... Interested to see the predictions...So please, don't ruin the surprise...

I can't even begin to tell you how many rosters I have built on NCAA Football straight out of the Athlon...good times, thanks for the heads up.

I'm just curious, do fans in other parts of the country really get into these or are they mainly for us SEC guys and the super-hardcores?

I get into them (up here in Cleveland, OH). I always pick up Phil Steele and either Athlon, Lindy's or even Sporting News. Usually two is plenty to quench my college football thirst in the summer months.

I start getting pumped when the mags start rolling out because that means NCAA Football is right around the corner and college football is that much closer!

Mostly hardcore followers probably pick up the magazines. Kind of an assumption though I guess.

As for mags, yeah I get 1-2 a year although St Louis is far from a college football hotbead
