Why is it that you can get out of any difficult situation just by pressing the Y button?

Defender cuts you off when driving to the basket...no problem, just tap Y and watch your player morph through the defense for the uncontested lay-up. Being hounded while dribbling on the perimeter...again no problem, just tap Y and watch your player perform a step-back move that displaces him 15 feet laterally in one second.

The best part is that these moves require no momentum and even Zydrunas Ilgauskas can perform them. Nice.

Other when I first got the game, I never used it. I just thought it was too easy to score using it. If I did, I could just cheese the CPU by just shooting stepback 3s with Monta Ellis or someone like that.
