***PatriotJames' Veteran Timing Swing Sliders***

***UPDATED JUNE 15, 2011***

GAMEPLAY OPTIONS

HITTING DIFFICULTY - VETERAN
HITTING INTERFACE - TIMING
PITCHING DIFFICULTY - VETERAN
GUESS PITCH - OFF
PITCHING DIFFICULTY - VETERAN
PITCHING INTERFACE - METER

HUMAN
Contact - 6
Power - 4
Timing - 6
Foul Frequency - 5
Solid Hits - 5
Starter Stamina - 5
Reliever Stamina - 2
Pitcher Control - 5
Human Pitcher Consistency - 6

CPU - Same as Human Except These:
Strike Frequency - 1
Manager Hook - 5
Pickoffs - 5

Pitch Speed - 1 to 4 (your choice)
Fielding Errors - 6
Throwing Errors - 5
Fielder Run Speed - 2
Fielder Reaction - 4
Fielder Arm Strength - 3
Baserunner Speed - 4
Baserunner Steal Ability - 4
Baserunner Steal Frequency - 5
Wind - 0
Injury Frequency - 7

I've made some changes to help hitting. The wind seems ridiculous in this game so I've just put it to 0. If you take anything from this slider set I would definitely do from "Fielding Errors" down. This has made it so realistic with fielding.

I think I'm going to put the wind down a notch or 2. I've had 2 games with 20 mph winds, 1 was a home-run derby and the other was a pop-up derby.

Sorry it took so long but some things came up this afternoon.....Great sliders I think. Played as the Bosox vs Texas. Game went 12 innings and ended up losing on a 2 run walk off hr (i still think there is some kind of comeback thing in this game for both sides, not just the computer but it all equals out so whatever). The stats are below. I didnt really see anything in this game that I think needed attention as far as sliders go. I will try to get some more games in tomorrow and let ya know.

boston- 3 10 0
Texas- 5 12 0

2b's
Bos-1
Texas-2

3bs
Bos-0
Tex-2

Hrs
Bos-2
Tex 1

bb's
bos-0 (i never walk; too much of a free swinger so i wont blame the sliders for this)
tex-5

k's
Bos-8
tex-9

so all in all a good balance. anything you want me to pay attention to tomorrow or sunday and want info on let me know. but good job best so far i think.

Nice! Yours resembles what I'm getting (except the walks, lol).

It seems triples are really high from my end and looking at this games stats. I also had an inside the park home-run with Sizemore...

I may try upping fielder speed and lower the reaction both by 1 notch to see if that gets a better balance.

Thanks for the help! Feel free to try zone hitting on these as well, I don't think it'll change the outcome much

I played and actually liked using the zone hitting with some other sliders, but I actually thought the timing hitting was fine with these. That might be a good idea to up the speed but lower the reaction. I will try that as well later. Don't worry about the walks there were enough pitches that would have been balls. I think dating back to my intellevision baseball days I probably have walked 10 times in my life....9 were probably intentional walks

I will let ya know how game 2 vs texas goes later on

another good game with the sliders....aside from the fact I lost again....

bos 2 7 0
tex 5 9 1

bb's
bos-you know the answer
tex-2

k's
bos-6
tex-8

2b's
bos-1
tex-4

3b's
bos-0
tex-0

hr's
bos-0

again a good game walked a couple in the first and gave up a bases clearing double. I don't think you really need to switch to zone with these. we will see if i can actually win a game with these next
