EA needs to seriously consider Mike Mayock in future Madden's

This guy is just amazing.

He's one of the best FOOTBALL (both NFL and College) analysts that I've seen in a long time. He does his homework, knows his stuff backwards and forwards, and has a voice for it.

Not to mention, he's just got a job to head up commentary on NFLN's Thursday night games now.

If Gus could calm down a bit, and replace Collinsworth with Mayock for a future Madden release it would be quite a site indeed.

i really like mike especially on playbook and the combine, his segments always deliver some knowledge, his broadcasting is suspect though and this is based on one game i heard him call, he was struggling, but he broke down plays well tha game.....maybe an off night for him

You also have to remember that he'd be reading off of a script for Madden. I think he would do fine, although I have no complaints about Colinsworth. Maybe a three man team, with Mayock just breaking down plays on replays...

I agree. Not sure about the Commentary as I feel EA needs to get different Broadcasters from each station that does NFL Coverage so we have options for Commentators. I do think Mayock could really improve the game is in Franchise Mode where he is talking about the up coming draft class, does Mock Drafts and grades your Draft class, or picks.

Let them figure out how to correctly implement Collinsworth and Gus before we clamor for new names. If they were to uproot the current duo, it'd be another few games until all the kinks are worked out and everyone would be complaining.

Please no not him. I can not stand his voice. Sure he knows his stuff, but this is a guy who will be repeating lines on a video game over and over.

Maybe something dealing with the combine, or brief informational bits, but not full blown commentary.

How about we just try to get the actual ESPN/CBS guys.

Excellent idea!! Have his thoughts about the pre-draft in franchise mode and the analysis of your teams picks.
