MLB 2K11 Patch

I'm new to this and this will sound like a dumb question but what does this 2k11 "patch" mean? like i never heard of it before. is it like an edited/updated version of the game?

Its all good man. Patches are put out to simply fix bugs and glitches within the game. In the case of this game, there are several bugs and glitches that make the game almost unplayable for many of us. The patch will fix all of these issues... hopefully. When your turn on the game, if you are connected to the Internet you will be asked to download the update. Once you do that, you are good to go.

another dumb question. i'm pretty new to xbox360 and video games in the last __ years (took a hiatus) and i'm wondering if you do NOT have xbox live, how do you update with these patches/roster updates (i manually edited all my teams rosters when i got the game lol ). ps. i'm technologically handicapped so please dumb it down.

As long as you are connected to the Internet, you will be prompted to update the game. You do not have to be a XBOX Live Gold member to receive the update. Hope this helps.
