Teambuilder Improvements for NCAA '12

I think we can all agree that when Teambuilder was 1st introduced for 10, it was pretty amazing that EA allowed us to create teams via Internet and upload them to our game. But for '11, EA, well "dropped the ball" so to speak; with the only updates being that they add the ability to add names on the jersey front. But for '12, I have a vision for a better Teambuilder and EA better not screw up, lol.

#1. Info Updates: EA should add the ability to have rivals instead of taking a team's rival when you replace them in Dynasty mode; also we should be able to use other teams that we download and make them rivals against each other.

#2. Logo Updates: Well obviously, we need more logos. It's a nuisance to only have 2 logo slots. It needs to be up to at least 4 so we can have company logos like Nike, UnderArmour, adidas, etc. Plus we may want to have tertiary logos to play with and other things like that. Another thing, we should be able to adjust the size of logos because when some are put up, they come out to be too small, so that would be nice.

#3. Stadium Updates: It may take a couple of years for a Stadium Builder to come along, but I would recommend at least if we are going to make use of existing stadiums, why not customize them a bit. Let us put our logos and team colors over other logos and things, because its weird to be playing in a stadium like LSU's Death Valley or Miami Stadium and you see purple goalposts and Miami's 'U' logo all around.

#4. Field Updates: It's nice to see that your team has their own field, but it gets pretty bland after a while to see not much creativity is there which is why more options should be given. There needs to be an option to design your sidelines uniquely as well as more designs for the endzones. Another available option is the field numbers and field lines like giving the numbers color as well as the 20 and 50 yard lines special stripes and so on. The sideline logo could be used as placement for the conference logo on the field. Maybe there should be an option to customize the goalposts as well.

#5. Uniform Updates: The serious part. It really hurt to see that there were NO additions of helmet and uniform designs. I had new ideas but wasn't able to execute due to the lack of options. So obviously, there needs to be new options for helmet and uniforms; there needs to be the ability to use pre-existing designs from ALL schools and the abilty to create our own designs. There also needs to be WAY more number, and name fonts to utilize to make unique. Plus, add warning stickers, flag stickers and pride stickers to the helmets. Our Teambuilder teams also MUST have colored cleats!!

#6. Mascot Updates: Being able to customize the mascot to our liking to match our teams.

I have always wanted there to be a way to choose a school's design template. Like for number font choose "Oregon" or "VT". The being able to fully customize the colors after that. Make it that way across the board. For everything from Pant Stripe, to shoulder design.

TeamBuilder is tolerable for everything other than those shoes to me. White and Black BASIC shoes got on my last nerve.

Your entire post is spot on, but I would add a few wrinkles, and I understand you may have meant these when you said we should be able to take an existing team's entire uniform and customize it to our team... but here are the things I want to see:

1: Colors! TB Teams should have more than white or black under-shirts, wrist bands, QB play-call arm bands, hand-warmers etc...

2: Team name - When the male cheerleaders run around w/ the flags, they should say our team name and not just T E A M.

3: Helmets - Several things here... first, EA needs to get the colors right. White at night does not look like silvery pearls. I agree w/ the flag stickers and pride stickers and here's one more thing we need to be able to customize... the space above the forehead on the helmet. Like Texas says HORNS and Texas Tech has their logo... here's a photo of what I mean...



It would be so cool to add our logo or team name there!

4: How difficult would it be to add school names? Like... North Dakota State, Portland State, etc... Just have the guys say every college name that exists, they already have the 120 FBS school names in there. We should be able to give our team a school name and have it said in the game. So my team could be called the North Dakota State Falcons or the Georgia Tech Falcons and not just the Falcons.

Matte Helmets.

That's all I want from them.

They deliver me matte helmets and I'm completely satisfied.

1. Generic Mascots- I don't want my team to have no mascot, or a real one, so toss these in. Make them wear your team's jersey, too. (Ex. Warrior, Eagle, Tiger, Lion, Generic Player, Bronco, Bulldog, Knight, Pioneer, Cat, and a Bison)

2. More Generic Stadiums- They might not legally be able to allow you to edit a real stadium, so make some generic ones. (A 20k Seater, 30k, 40k, 50k, 60k, 75k, 100k)

3. More Logo Slots- Self-explanatory

4. More Freedom- Maybe I want my team's back-up logo at midfeild. What if I want to put the logo on the side of my Jersey? Let us do stuff like that.

5. Stadium Nicknames- Let us give our stdiums a nickname (Ex. PSU- Happy Valley)

6. More Templates- I want more than 2 shoes, more than a dozen ish pants, etc.

7. Customizable Outfit Sets- Maybe I want to wear alternate pants and my home uni as my basic home outfit. Perhaps I want just 2 jerseys (Home and Away) and 8 pairs of pants. Let me chose this!

If that's all they change with TBuilder, I will be 110% satisfied.

-Choose Uniform Brand (Now its decided on your roster template I believe)

-Choose Your Field Logos (Not just default primary)

-De-branded Stadiums (Take away distinguishing team logos, names, colors)

-More Fonts (Numbers/Chest Text), Jersey/Pant Templates

-Fix Certain Jersey Templates (Old Arizona uni's and SJSU go through the back numbers)

-Choose Rival (If I replace rival with another TB team then that TB team should be rival)

-Customizable Pipelines

Then why don't you make your alternate pants the primary pants?
