Coaching Tendencies Tempo & Defensive Pressure

I was inspired by Jukeman's house rules to try and tweak coaching tendencies. I still love CH2k8, but I have been getting frustrated with the feeling that the CPU plays most teams too similarly. My goal is to create tempo and defensive pressure tendancies that are more realistic. Jukeman says that most teams tempo should range from 0-50 with VMI being the only team at 100. I decided to use a team's FGA per game to guide my numbers. 55.1 FGA per game is the median number (statesheet.com) so it makes sense to me to have those teams that attempt 55FGA be at a tempo of 25. I took the top 10 teams for FGA per game from this season and gave them a tempo from 60-100. My thought being that these higher numbers are outliers in a sense and that a high tempo of 50 would be the max for the remainder of the teams. The top 10: VMI-100; Lamar-75; Washington 75; Mizzou 75; Providence-70; LaSalle 70; S. Carolina-70; S. Dakota-65; Iowa St-65; N. Carolina-60. The rest of the teams fell within the 0-50 range where 25 is the average tempo(55.1 FGA). So VMI who averaged 67.2 FGA per game has tempo of 100. Michigan St 55.7 FGA tempo of 25. TX Southern 50.6 FGA tempo of 0.

Defensive Pressure:
Jukeman feels that MAX press should be 50 for most teams, with most teams falling in the 0-25 range. So I decided to use a teams defensive FG% to guide my tendencies. Florida State 36.3%=50 def press. Depaul 50.1%=0 def press.

I would love to hear thoughts and suggestions. I didn't touch fastbreak b/c I' not sure how I would gauge a team's fast break tendancy vs tempo. I didn't touch crash boards b/c imo I don't think a team's rebounding stats would necessarily tell me if they crash boards or not. Thanks so much and I look forward to the feedback.
