Rtts help

Is anybody really good at rtts in this years game.
I am having alot of trouble with mine
I only get better by three overall points per year
So by the time I'm 23 or 24 I'm still in the minors

Can someone please help me out with some advice and hints and tips?

Just a couple of preliminary questions.

What position are you playing in RTTS?
Are you at least achieving 3 of your 4 goals? (or 3 of 5/ 4 of 6)

Re: Rtts help

How are you doing hitting-wise? Your progression depends heavily on the type of at-bats you're having (not necessarily the result). This is the most difficult thing as a position player in RTTS and if at the moment you find yourself struggling on offense and not pulling in around 30-40 points per game, do some main menu batting practice and work on a few things. I was able to improve 10 points overall, but as your ratings go higher, the more training points you need in order to improve your overall rating so it's not a consistent rate.

Re: Rtts help

I improved by 15 overall points the first year-Place all training points in Contact, Power, Fielding, and Speed. There's 6 areas in your scouting report, and these are 4 of them. Look at your scouting report and put your points in those areas. I'm guessing to only get 3 points a year you simmed all the games. I don't think the Performance Evaluator works when you sim games, you get maybe 1/4 the points then when you play.

You might try choosing to play the games, then fast forward to the end once you get to the game. It takes maybe a minute to go thru games that way and you'll get 40-60 points a game.

It sounds almost as if your not training your player. You could gain 3 overall points by accident.

What categories are you putting your training points in?
