What are your favorite plays?

For me I really like the 5-1 Screen in the Sixers playbook. The right side clears out as the pick is being set up and then the Center ROLLS with me to the basket. I do 1 of 4 things in this order, and I always have a good shooter playing PG and a good dunker at the C.
1) run to right baseline out wide creating space for a potential ally oop to my center.
2) if its a super clean pick I step out behind the 3 for an open shot.
3) if I am using a guy who can drive I simply take it in closer for a layup or close jumper
4) if none of the 3 happen I look to hit one of the perimeter players if their guy has sagged off

Favorite guys to run this with: PG = Curry, C = Howard

Re: What are your favorite plays?

i love the 1-5 quick which is a high screen and roll. i run it with my best playmaker not always with the PG but usually. as i said in the other thread i've ran the play with Iggy and worked it to perfection, i've also ran it with Tyreke Evans and now i run it with Deron Williams

i also love the 2-1 Corner. great if you have a PG who can shoot you can curl off the screen and hit a midrange or stretch it and hit a 3. great play if you ever play with 2 pg's on the floor at the same time, or if you have a good passing 2.

Re: What are your favorite plays?

in the Hornets playbook 4 1 Fade i think its called

it clears out the right side of the court leaving the PG and the screener(PF) and after i run the screen i can either pass to the Center down low pick and pop with the PF pass ALL THE WAY to the other side of the court to my SF if his defender crashes down to defend the driving pg or just take it to the hole with Chris Paul

Love running 12 open with Mike Miller or James Jones or even Dwayne Wade.

12 Razor with Wade

53 Ice with Lebron

Re: What are your favorite plays?

One of my favorite plays if you have a PF with good shooting range and a 3 point shooting SG is 14 Up Option. It runs quick and gives you 2 chances at an open look. If neither are open you will still have about 14 or so seconds on the shot clock.

You have to look out on the pass to the PF though as occasionally the defense will get into position to intercept it.
