Madden ever problem, LE having more sacks than RE

Why is that happening?

I do have my LE to have more chance than the RE to get sacks, why is that?

I know in real life LT use to be better player than RT but in madden even if the LT has lower ratings than the RT, the LE end up with more chances than the RE to get sacks.

(Of course i`m not talking about user sacks)

This is because QBs in madden tend to drift towards the right in the pocket, making it easier for LEs to get the sack instead of REs. This has been a problem for the past few years, and hopefully, they get it fixed so that QBs step up in the pocket instead of drifting side to side.

Yea this has been a problem for the last few years. Hopefully they straighten this out on 12.

Re: Madden ever problem, LE having more sacks than RE

The problem is a persistent one in video games in general.

One reason is that it's a lot easier to escape a right end because as a right handed quarterback, you run forward away from the RE, but toward the LE, and to back away from an LE, you're back peddling, and easy to catch.

The other reason is that the blind-side issue real life QBs deal with doesn't exist in Madden, as you have a bird's-eye view of the field.

It's a tough problem to address.

Maybe there could be an animation where the QB has to, sort of, glance behind, or react a bit differently when evading the RE, or the DT if it's a stunt, as opposed to the LE. The slight difference in the animation would make it take just a little be longer for the QB to take off when avoiding RE. Of course there would be times when very elusive QBs react like they have eyes in the back of their head because there are players like that in reality.

Seems like a difficult fix.

Is there a reason why the CPU QB's always tend to drift to the right? I'd rather see the high AWR QBs really maneuver their way around the pocket as they do in real life instead of arbitrarily moving in one direction.

Also, the original question seems to be in reference to the CPU QB so is it possible to program in his "blind side?"

If I am playing against the CPU, against a QB with higher awareness, and I use the "pass" d-line audible, where the pocket forms better, I do see those QBs push up in the pocket a little better. It's the lower-rated awareness guys that I see drift or hold onto the ball because they're locked into a receiver.

I am speaking mainly from franchise mode where every player gets a slight awareness boost. In Play Now, I still see QBs, even the good ones, do some inexplicable things.

Sure is. I had one season on NCAA 11 this year where I finally had the RE get more sacks than the LE. First time that has happened for me in any football video game no matter who was on the right side.
