Preferences on holding the controller for analog pitching

So, I'm having a problem. I do okay on analog hitting (except I still have some problems pushing or pulling the ball). On Analog pitching, I absolutely suck. My problem is that the way I hold the controller, I'm having a lot of problems trying to adjust for the 10-2 aiming for the edges of the strike zone. I either pitch close to down the middle, or I'm rocketing it out of the strike zone (way out).

How do you guys prefer to hold the controller itself to make it easier to control where you are aiming the stick on your upward motion?

Re: Preferences on holding the controller for analog pitching

My pitching comes and goes as a game goes on (my actual stick skills). When I feel it slipping I will hold the controller a little more up in front of me where I can see my thumbs in my peripheral vision. I can focus on my aim and keep my mind on exactly how my thumb is moving. Once I find my groove I can return to my normal hands in lap position. I'll go to this method too when the game is tight and I know I have to make my pitches. Never hurts to be on the safe side.
