TheRunAndShoot & Mr LUX did an amazing job last year
, unfortunately not every team was made with the named rosters & strict rating scales. I want to take the lead here & start a new FCS project for NCAA 12 TEAM BUILDER. I want to do everything exactly like the runshoot did last year the strict rating scales, but I want to do something a little different. Last year a lot of people liked creating teams but they didn't like naming there teams rosters or following the rating scale .
I want to start a 4 step process before you create your FCS school on team builder.
1. I want us to first name all the players on a roster of your choice ,I will put a TN next to the team below once this is completed , I already started a Google document here http://bit.ly/gT3rKx .
2. incoming freshmen from class 2011 , I want us to label them as TFr identifying them as true freshmen. Freshman from the class of 2010 will be labeled as either RFr (Red Shirt Freshmen) or So , unless you know for sure that he's a sophomore.Once this step is completed I will put a FI in red next to the team(freshmen Identified)
3. Identify past starters or potential starts & impact players, was he a 2010 FCS All American , did he make all league in 2010? , was he honorable mention ... etc?Once this step is done I will up a ISPI in bold black (impact & starter players Identified
4. Rate your players with the rating scale that I will post below.Once this step is completed I will put a bold R in blue (ratings completed)
I have already started naming FCS teams on a Google Document. So far I have named 11 teams from the Alabama A&M to the Bryant Bulldogs. I am looking for volunteers who want to name there favorite FCS program. Maybe you don't want to name a whole roster but you know who will be there impact player. Any kind of help & impute would be appreciated.I plan on naming every single team , but I would very much appreciate the help if any one is willing to volunteer & assist in naming and rating players of there favorite FCS team.
If you want to help out naming & rating a team just tell me which team you would like edit. PM or post your email on here and I will open up the Google Document so you can edit that team. After all teams all named & players are given ratings we will proceed to creating the teams on team builder.
2011 NCAA Football 12 Teambuilder FCS Project
RATINGS SCALE
Most teams will not have 3 impact players.
The FCS Project/Team DirectoryThese guys can be rated higher. Also, Offensive Guard D.J. Hall (only player named first team all american FCS in 2010) (Texas State) should have an OVR of 85, Taiwan Jones RB E .Washington was going to be rated over 89 but he surpassed his SR year to enter the NFL draft. Chase Reynolds RB(Montana) should have an OVR of 83, Trumaine Johnson CB 6 - 3 (Montana) should have an OVR of 85. These are the 3 highest players in this project.
Top (Impact) Players- 73-75 (This does not mean you can only have 3, but I'd say most teams will have 2 guys that fall in this range. Appalachia State has more,Idaho State should have 1 or none
Starters- 65-72
2nd String- 60-64
Bench-50-59
Fresh- < 53 (Less than 53 ovr, 3 star recruits can be higher)
Program Ratings Scale
Academic Prestige:
Ivy League schools all get an A+. If a school is considered a public Ivy give it an A or A+. There are alot of fine academic institutions in FCS so we will see a wide range of scores. Otherwise use your own discretion.
Campus Lifestyle:
If the school is an a big city, party school, or if it is recognized for having excellent extracurricular programs adjust accordingly.
Coach Experience: You can also give a bonus of 1 if the Coach has exp as an FBS Head Coach/NFL other; or a full letter grade for exp as an NFL HC,
No exp: D+
Less than 2 years exp: C-
3 years: C+
5 years: B
7 years: B+
10 years exp: A
Coach Prestige:
If the coach has been part of a successful team, as a player or coach they should be highly ranked.
Championship Contender:
Bonuses should be awarded to schools when they have been in FCS playoffs within the past 3 years or are highly ranked here...... The highest available score is a C+ and should be given to schools like Montana, App State, Richmond, Villanova, etc.
Athletic Facilities:
Should be no higher than C with 95% of schools falling in the D/D+ range.
Pro Potential:
This will factor in current NFL players, past NFL players, and the level of their success. (Non-NFL players may have a small impact: UFL, AFL, AFL2, CFL, etc.) I'm going to cap this at C+
Program Stability:
I'll cap this at B+ and that should only be given to schools with a streak of winning seasons longer than 5 years.
Program Tradition:
Capped at B+Fan Base:
avg attendance 20,000+: B
17,000-19,999: C+
12,000-16,999: C
10,000-11,999: D+
lower 10,000: D
