Body checking

I know I'm inept but I can't bodycheck anyone (Xbox 360). Which sliders can I tweak, and any hints would be appreciated, thank you.

Re: Body checking

I'd tweak the "Checking Power" slider mainly, as those with a high "Bodychecking" rating will have bone crunching hits.

Press down the left thumbstick, and the guy will be in a hip-check position, though you have to time it properly in order to get the opposing player properly lined up.

It's based on momentum and (theoretically) the size of the two players involved. The reason I say theoretically is that it isn't perfect, and that with slider adjustments, size differences in terms of hitting power can either be exaggerated or reduced. Make sure you've got some momentum and get close to the player with the puck, then push the right thumbstick in the direction of that player. If you have a proper angle, enough momentum, and the opposing player does not move out of the way, you should at the very least make decent contact.

I use classic controls, do you still use the right stick or is it just the y button? Thanks for the help...
