My player drafted to Heat but never get the ball!

Hi,
2K11 is my first stab at the 2K games and love it even though I find it really hard to get to grips with.
After a terrible start with a shooting guard I was drafted to the Clippers and couldn’t escape them. So I decided to create a 6.2’’ shooting point guard and did my drills and I was drafted to Heat….which in theory was just what I was after but they won’t pass me the ball!
In my Summer Circuit I was hitting around 25 points per game, 5 assists, 3 rebounds and hitting B mostly, now I can’t seem to get better than a C….can anyone suggest what I can do to improve?
My mid range is at 90 already only 2 games in….what other attributes would you suggest upgrading and will I ever see the ball?
Cheers,
Al

shooting point guard? so your a scoring point guard then right?

you normally get the ball more once you become a starter.

right now if you dont have the ball in your hands, setting screens is your friend. go stand next to the ball handler and set a pick for them, then roll to the basket. you'll get an A+ in no time. last game i set 58 good picks. this can also be done off ball but its usually easier to do it on ball.

when i made my PG, i upgraded my quickness, then handles and then speed. I wanted to be able to move laterally quickly and use my handles to break guys down and get by them for a layup or kick out once i got the ball. after i got that set, i upped my vertical and stamina with a little durability. next was dunks and layups. i had my shooting motion down so i didnt work on upping any of my shooting ratings until later. if your not confident in your shooting you can move those attributes up on your priority list

Think about it, if a rookie just came up in Coach Spo's system, do you think he'd automatically trust him with the ball? Nope. Coach Spo and President Pat Riley don't value rookies at all, and in their system, with their team, they very well shouldn't. James, Wade, Bosh, Chalmers, Bibby, and Miller would always have first dibs over a rookie. What I would have done is make your guy a pass-first point guard. That's what I did with the intention of eventually joining the Heat, but I got drafted by the Grizzlies, then traded to Utah.

nevermind.....5 games in and averaging 15 pt a game...on my 5th game I was a starter so I made it count....got 29 pts and finished on an A and got player of the game.....was picked for Jordan brand...got a billboard too!
Looks like I am better than I thought!

You are not getting the ball because your player did not have an hour program and tell the entire world that "You are taking your talents to South Beach" lol
