AT&T Park

Hey guys,

I'm making my first trip to the United States in six years this coming October and am in the process of planning a sporting adventure.

While the NFLPA and Goodel look like screwing me with the NFL, fortunately there is plenty happening (including the MLB playoffs). Obviously at this point I won't know who is playing, so will need to wait until later in the year for tickets.

I am very interested however in attending the Cal vs USC football game at AT&T Park on October 13. Although never having been to an American Football game (or AT&T Park), I'm looking at Stub Hub without much clue as to where I really want to sit.

In your opinion, which section/s should I be looking at?

Should I try to somehow get into a 'student' area for the best game experience, or is AT&T Park best experienced from the top tier (section 332) which gives sweeping views of the Cove and Bay?

Any help and suggestions from Bay Areas locals or those familiar with the stadium would be much appreciated.

Wow! I just stumbled across this article (with images) that gives a fantastic overview: AT&T Park Open house Report

Although I'd still love to hear your opinions.

Re: AT&T Park

Link doesn't work.

Any seat in the house is very good, but to be honest my favorite seats are in the right field arcade (in fair territory, before the wall gets shorter in right center) if you can get the first row. You feel very close to the action and behind you there's a nice shot of the bay.

If you get second deck, going down the third base line is preferable IMO. It's a nicer shot of the stadium. I don't know specific sections though.

Yeah, it's actually Cal's home ground.

Here is the correct link with pics from the open day: http://www.californiagoldenblogs.com...n-house-report

Are those good seats for the football game. You might want to check out a picture of how the stadium sets up for a football game.

Re: AT&T Park

Totally didn't even read that he's going there for a football game. My bad.

EDIT: Then I would still recommend second deck, third base side.
