Review: Top Spin 4 | Gamer Sheep

Video review where the guy gives it 8.5 but says if you're a tennis fan you will really like it. Says career mode is pretty deep and alot of fun.

One thing I noticed about online is that even though with the online world tour you can only use pros all the pros featured in the game are rated the same which I assume means they are all equal in skill points but are only different in playing style so if everybody takes Federer or Nadal then you won't be at a disadvantage if you take a lesser pro like James Blake. I don't know how that translates to the AI players in career mode but I hope that doesn't mean that Blake is as hard to beat as Nadal.

If you thought that other review from now gamer was pathetic, then this one for the PS3 version sounds like it was written by Charlie Sheen. Just read it for entertainment value because it's complete jibberish and I mean that literally, you can't understand what he's writing. It sounds like it was done by a nerdy programmer who has never watched a tennis match.

Top Spin 4 Review - Everyeye.it | N4G

This is a detailed review and it sounds like these guys spent alot of time on playing it. It's an Italian website that looks like it's been translated to English so it's an awkward read because this guy's 1st language is obviously not english. They seem to really like it and thier only complaints are only 25 pros (but it looks like you can create pros and put them in career mode right after you get your CAP up to level 20) and that you can master a serve that goes over 200KMH (120MPH for you non Canadians) that can give you alot of aces (and that's a bad thing? That's what everyone wanted.)

Career mode lasts 12 seasons done in a very realistic way and if you set it to normal it gives you 3 game sets and supertiebreaks and basically can be used to quickly max your CAP (they said it only takes a season and a half to do and within a few hours) so you can go online or allow you to immediately create pros that you can use or put in career mode.

If you pick realistic settings in career then you get 6 game sets that mirrior the real tour, so 2\3 sets for smaller tourneys and 3\5 for the majors. It also makes the career mode a hell of alot longer in a realistic way.

Apparently the gameplay is pretty deep and strategic and the AI is very good and the best thing of all is that unforced errors increase as fatigue sets in later in the match and fatigue is done well in this game.

Holy ****, this could be my sports game of the year because this is everything I wanted in a tennis game. I pray there are no killer bugs to ruin this game and we get some dev support for patches. Since this game has been 3 years in the making then I'm sure it's been quality tested quite well, at least I hope.

Another glowing review albeit a briefer one. Ok now I'm officially salivating.

Metacritic has 2 reviews posted thus far although they are from European websites but one gave it a 100 and the other a 90. So far so good.

That was one of the strangest reviews I have ever read. I rarely post but I couldn't resist considering the awkward hilarity of it.

T-minus 20 hrs or so until I have this game!
