Analog how to? (Need more information)

I have decided that I'm going to learn how to hit if it's the last thing I do. My problem is that I need to understand the basics.

Pardon me if this has already been posted but does anyone have a description of how to hit in different areas.

For example: when a pitch is thrown low and up the middle should I swing
straight Down, UP, and then down? or (12,6, and 12?)

Everyone I know that has the same has the same question. I understand how to load up but the actual stick motion has never been explained.

The only time that you do not swing strait up and down is when the ball it either outside or inside.

The game automatically swings for low and high pitches for you.
