Practice. There are 5 different batting practice modes this year - try them all out and see which of them you struggle with the most and concentrate on improving at it.

Sliders are you friends! Turn the pitch speed all the way down and increase the timing window. There's no shame in it!

yeah, the holding back part first before pushing forward is killing me. I swing at everything since I'm focusing more on the mechanics then the pitch. in 2k you just held back and then pushed forward, at least that's how I did it and it worked fine. timing the step for maximum is def. a challenge.
