BaP mode, about a minute remaining in overtime...

I get the puck deep in their territory, pass it to the point, then move toward goal and get the puck back. I shoot, the goalie holds it, whistle.

It shows a replay of me standing near the boards. An opponent slowly skates up next to me, and my character kinda looks back over his shoulder. End replay... I'm in the penalty box, 2:00 for roughing!

Has anybody else seen anything like this?

Yeah, I've been seeing that a lot lately. Matt Duchene has been called for 3-4 roughing penalties and that's not his game at all. I think it has to do with the post-whistle rules being set to Authentic. If you change it to Relaxed, that should do away with those "ghost" penalties.

Were you tapping the poke check button? Because doing so will trigger a roughing call. I've been guilty of doing that a couple times in EASHL.

Also, when you shot the puck, did you skate by the goalie? Because as mentioned above, if you use the poke check and "accidentally" hit the goalie, you'll get a roughing call.

Maybe tim donaghy works as a ref in the nhl now?

Yeah, I got several goals in NHL 09 by poking the puck from under the goalie so I've been sorta conditioned to do so... that must have been it. Weird that the replay showed me just standing around though.

The replays (or highlights really), sometimes get cut off. I've had some moments that I wanted to watch again, but when did the replay, I was only allowed 2 seconds.

Yes, switching from authentic to relaxed gets rid of those penalties for the most part.
