For or Against adding in dunk contest, 3 pt contest, and skills contest

I was wondering what everyone's take was on the contests during the all star break. Would you guys be for or against adding in the following:

Dunk
3 pt
skills

And if only one could be added in, which would you like to be put in? Any idea how the button or stick system could be implimented into the contests to make it a challenge but possible to do?

I would like to see the skills contest added in just because you really get to see how good your guards are on their ball handling, passing, shooting speed, etc. It's also an excellent tool to scout out possible team players

Well the 3 point and dunk contest are already in the game just not in the association. I don't think the dink contest would be as fun in the association just because it is so easy to do dunks. I was dining over a car last year in 2k10.

I do think the skills and 3 point contest would be great add in for the association.

I would be for adding the skills challenge. Would be difficult to do in the game but it would probably be a lot of fun. I only put this above dunk contests because, no matter what game it is, I always come in last place in dunk contests. I'm just no good at them. If they added all 3 of those though that'd be fantastic.

For it! Take out blacktop or whatever that game mode is called.

For: It's a nice addition that many people have been asking for years. Gives more variety for people who like different modes and Allstar stuff.

Against: I personally don't care about it, and even in older games (Live 2004 and 2005, for example) hardly touched it. It just doesn't seem interesting to me, but that's just my opinion, and that's wht I did write a "For" paragraph. However, a skills contest may be the best fit to a video game, in my opinion.




I think the NBA is going to add something new to the Allstar weekend soon: a Flopping Challenge. A duo of 2 players from the same team will try to flop and pretend there was a hard foul against eachother. Each team will have 90 seconds to try and get as many calls as possible from the ref. The 2 teams with the most calls advance to the final round. They can call it "Flopping Stars".
