Best Buy release date March 1? (False)

is weird, but today Best Buy did the update on their website (they do that every Sunday) and they have MLB 2K11 to be released next Tuesday, it could be a mistake, but maybe they have some kind of exclusive deal? NBA 2K11 was released on 3D only at Best Buy (before the 3D patch) besides that Best Buy rarely mess the release dates.

I'm sure it's a misprint. I'm a Supervisor there, and work today, so I'll definitely go look and see if we have them in back.

There's nothing their NYC Area circulars so I'm pretty sure it's a misprint

I would say it's 99.9% a misprint. The first day they can sell the game is actually controlled by MLB. Sony and 2K cannot release the game any earlier than what they allow. March 8th is that date.

Yeah but there is precedent for baseball video games to have their release dates unexpectedly moved up. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall MVP 05 came out a week early (late February), . And either last year or the year prior, didn't the Show come out a week early than the long-supposed release date?

They might indeed be secretly pushing it out the door early here to try and nab some sales so they're not competing directly with The Show. I wouldn't have a second's doubt that this could be a company's intent on something for this very reason, but I just don't know if this is what we're looking at here.

If so, I'd be very inclined to go out and get this Tuesday for that exact same reason... so I'm not figuring out which game I want to play every time I plop something into the system. But this game is going right back to the store if I'm having the same swing input response issues I had in MLB 2K10.
