mh313's March Madness 11' All Conference 20 min Sim Sliders

As we move towards the business end of the college season I thought I would post my sliders up as more people pick up the game again to get the college fix.

My aim with these sliders was to try and generate as realistic stats as possible whilst also ensuring a challenge for the user. I’m currently running a Youngstown State dynasty with these and its going well. I lose to the better teams (although when I’m on point it gets close) and am in dogfights with teams of similar ability.

I’m currently 1-5 in my 2nd year a Youngstown (simmed first):

Montana State (B+) 81 – Youngstown (C) 61
UNC Greensboro (B-) 74 – Youngstown (C) 72
Jacksonville (B) 84 – Youngstown (C) 66
Austin Peay (B+) 80 – Youngstown (C) 55
Youngstown (C) 68 – Iona (B) 60 FIRST WIN!
Youngstown (C) 63 – Robert Morris (B) 70

Averages:
PPG: 64.2
Rebounds: 32.5
Assists: 15
Steals: 1.2 (can’t fix this?)
Blocks: 6.5
Off Reb: 5.3

Turnovers in games vary from anywhere between 4 and 14 for either side...its very hit and miss.

With these sliders I find I have to concentrate for the full 40 mins otherwise I get blown away....I love it!

RULES:
- My only rule is don’t abuse the game’s exploits...its not fun and it’s not sim. Run your motion offense and take good shots and you will be rewarded.

Re: mh313's March Madness 11' All Conference 20 min Sim Sliders

Is there any help with fastbreaks in this game? I can't get any fastbreaks at all. I have my coach profile setting for an up-tempo style. What area of the game can be tweaked to help with getting some fastbreak buckets? I haven't found any. Does it have more to do with the game level of play or what?

We should be able to get at least some fastbreaks but I'm serious I haven't gotten one single breakaway layup playing some exhibition games from all-conference level. That goes for these sliders as well as some others like BigSheen. Any suggestions? This is on the PS3 version.

BTW, I've had some pretty nice games playing from exhibition mode with these sliders. The only real problem areas I can see is lack of fastbreaks(breakawys, easy layups/dunks), lack of CPU fouls and bullet defensive recovery by the CPU. The CPU recovery on defense is like playing against 5 Speedy Gonzalez mice on the court. You can have a guy wide open and a split second there's somebody on him.

If these three areas can be tweaked this could play like a real solid game of basketball. I just don't know what setting/area of the game that these two things can be adjusted. I have looked but don't see anything other than messing with quickness and speed from player ratings and that's not ideal. Thanks!
