DEFENSIVE Sliders (Tough)

Here are my Defensive sliders. I really hate playing games that go even into the 30 or 20s .... My Goal is to make it to where it is tough to get a good drive and what not. I still feel like I get to much points. My average points are around 20 points and below. these are as close as I can get. When it is 15 min QRTs in this game it is hard to get what I want as of getting 17 to 14 score games but these is what I got. tell me what you think!

HOUSE RULES:

*No money plays, it is as simple as that ... No streak plays ever unless of course it is desperation time.
*You can do Kick off return middle but don't do the thing where you run straight and then bank to the left or right because it is to easy to score TDs, only one spin move on returns to
*On Punt returns don't do the block punt formation and have blockers come out because then again all you have to do is go right then right before the Special Teamers' get you you bank the opposite way and it is a easy TD.
*Don't block punts! (you can do it manually, I can do it every punt if I want but I only do it in games that the Bears actually blocked a kick!)
*Don't run up the score because then it will make the game out that you just whooped a team or something. just run the ball up the middle and if you want you can do what I do and put your back-up RBs if I like what my RB did that game in the final minuets while running the clock out.

So please tell me what you guys think and what results you get, one addition, you can make it 12 MIN QRTs if you want ... one again, what ever you are comfortable with!

Re: DEFENSIVE Sliders (Tough)

I'm gonna go ahead and plug these in tomorrow and post some feedback for you. I love my own sliders but I don't mind trying out anybody else's sliders who are using all-madden level sliders. Wish you had of put the USER rush to a total of 75 instead of 77 because 75 is the true all-madden max you can put it. Anything higher is an all-pro feel. Also if you drop it down to 75 kickoff and punt returns will not be easy. With it at 77 the CPUs run defense is a little less competent even though you have the CPUs run defense maxed out. kickoffs and outside running becomes easy. Drop the fumbles to 50 and watch the difference but I will try it like that anyway. I'm already expecting at least 10 or more drops with the catching at 22 but I'll give them a shot. haha! Glad to see more all-madden sliders...

Glad to see someone trying these out thanks, I might never get what I want for 14-17 for an AVG but on 15 min Quarters it is going to be hard
(for the bold)Really? I am using the Bears and I get maybe 2 or 3 drops! .... the Bears .... if you are using any team that has at least AVG wide outs.

I saw that earlier and so I just wanted to test that to prove you wrong (not trying to be a ****). I went to practice mode and the lowest rated WR on my file is 30 and his catching is a 54 and he caught 5/10 of the catch-able passes. with spec Catch was 20. Route Running 45. Awareness is a 15! the drops were all jumping catches which is considered Spectacular catching.

Re: DEFENSIVE Sliders (Tough)

I'm always amazed at the differences in one player and game to another. I have had lots of drops even on high settings...I can't believe you don't get more than this...however I've been able to or unable to do things at the same settings that other get completely different reactions to...weird.
I also wonder if the game somehow "orients" itself to each player. I found that with cpu QB acc and WR catch on 10-20 he was just as successful completing passes as when I bump it to 50-25.

Yea when I use to play on defualt all-madden with the catching at 25.. I averaged about 5 to 10 drops a game and these are wide open drop when I'm hitting them in stride or a few quick throws in the flat.. I use the Giants so my WR core is pretty good.. It was one game I lost where Manningham dropped 3 wide open passes in a row in the endzone and thats when I decided I had to start messing with sliders and 45 was the best number I came up with after thoroughly testing them in franchise games. You should always test your sliders in franchise games. For some reason on play now and preseason the CPUs doesn't play the same.

I have a offline franchise going with my friends and when we use to play on default most of our WRs would lead the league in drops by a wide margin.. Now we have a pretty realistic amount through out the year with it at 45. Bad WRs still drop passes in traffic like there suppose to but good WR do there thing.. But I'm bout to plug these in and play. I'll post stats after.

i USED to have wr catch at 25 but too many drops at crucial times. the last straw for me was when i was driving for a game tying fg late in 4th qtr. i lost because i had 4 consecutive drops by wide open wrs. heath miller had 5 drops in that game. he hasn't dropped 5 balls in his ENTIRE career!!!!

Game started off pretty slow. They couldn't really get anything going on me and it made for a slow game becaue I got so many 3 and outs. I fumbled a kickoff right before halftime while I was up 21-3. They scored after that.

There run game wasn't good at all. I lived in the backfield on almost every play. I was doing pretty good against Clausen in the 1st half then decided to blitz him for the rest of the game and payed for it on a few big plays.

I was able to run pretty good and I knew I would be able to because of you having the total at 77 instead of 75.. There's no way I would have been able to run inside like that with you having the CPUs run defense maxed out like that. Drop your total down to 75 and watch the huge difference in trying to run the ball. Kickreturning and punt returning won't be easy either with the CPUs run defense maxed like that.

I'm not sure but I wonder if having one of the categories lower then the original all-madden total messes with the overrall game play. I'm not too sure about it but it felt like it.

Now I wasn't shocked that I had 11drops.. Like I told you I expected that with the catching at 22 because I had those kind of drops with it at 25 but as long as your not having those problems I guess its cool..

Also note I don't use any money plays.. I'm just real good at placing the ball and reading the defense and thats why I have the CPUs defense maxed out all across the board since I don't make many mistakes so I pay for it when I do.. I dropped a good 5 or more picks and they dropped a few on me as well. Felt kind of weird because I'm use to them grabbing a pick on me if I mess up.. Do you ever get any picks with it at 0 and how many does the CPU get with there's on 0 too? Post some stats from some of your games so we can see how there turning out..
