Weird Trades in Association

I've noticed some pretty weird trades going on, and I'm not sure if I shoulda allowed trade override and undone them.

One of the trades were Steve Nash for Lamar Odom.. (forgot the small draft picks and rookies). So the LAL had Nash, Kobe, Artest, Pau and Bynum????

Also, the C's traded Ariza (acquired from another trade), Nate Robinson and Avery Bradley to the Knicks for Felton, Gallinari and a 2nd round pick.

Are these weird AI GM's or am I just thinking differently?

Re: Weird Trades in Association

The trades make sense for the in-game teams. As to the Lamar Odom and Steve Nash trade, the AI notices it has two starter worthy power forwards, and needs a good PG, so it thinks it needs to make the trade to keep everyone happy in the long-run and get an above average rated player to play PG. Unrealistic, sure, but definitely good in terms of fairness. It's hard to keep most trades realistic in a video game, and even though it is a bit disappointing, I've learned to work with how the trades would make sense in the game and how it would help them in the game, because how they are doing in real life doesn't affect how they are doing or will do with the new team in the in-progress association. Hope this answered your question.

I had an even weirder one that involved Steve Nash going to New Orleans without giving up Chris Paul. WTF?

Maybe they are going for the Isiah Thomas 'Steve francis/marbury experiment'? and we all know how well THAT worked.

Same thing happened in my association, I got them Perkins back though through a variety of trades that made sense for every team. It ended up being like a 5 team deal (3 separate trades).
