Help! Association freeze

I picked up this game a few weeks ago and finally started an association. Well, in my first game I had to leave so I saved and quit the game (just like in mlb the show) so I could finish it later. Well every time I've loaded the game it has frozen withing a few minutes. I've tried deleting the game data, copying the the save data to a flash drive and deleting it off the system (then putting it back on the ps3). Most times it freezes during a timeout, but it did freeze during a free throw.

Can anyone help me? What should I do? Return the game? Is this just a poorly made game for the ps3 (like Black Ops)? Is is just a bug-ridden game?

This used to happen to me a lot until the latest patch. Any time it did happen to me, I would load the game and once it started just go to to "Sim to end of game". Get used to not saving in the middle of the game. At least this way you can save your association. I wish I knew why it stopped happening to me but it did, sorry I can't help any further.

Real letdown that you can't really save games because I don't always have time to play a full game with 12 min quarters.
