How can I stop the pass (online OR CPU)?

Is there a guide somewhere? This is driving me nuts. I've been trying to get help for weeks now and haven't been able to figure anything out.

I've tried every defensive formation possible, with a variety of different teams. I've tried man coverage with press, zone with press, man backed off, zone backed off, man zone combo, etc etc with no luck. I've tried double teaming receivers with absolutely no luck.

Online you might as well forget and make you're offense unstoppable. EA toned down the CB's a ton sense the games release an now they suck most of the time.

You're best bet is try to hide your blitzes and hope the Qb makes a makes a bad decision(online that is)

Yeah just focus on offense online because defenses are so bad in this game its futile to try and improve it. You just need to practice not making dumb mistakes. Most players will make one or two wtf throws in a game despite the terrible D, and thats your only chance to stop them. As long as you dont play too aggressive and make an effort to not make those wtf throws, you'll be alright.

Run the air raid online and stick it to punks that try and out score you.

Against the CPU on all-american I have a top 5 pass defense and run defense the trick is to use OLB blitzes run a zone and move the D-Line to the side of the blitz. Also use a QB Spy from a defensive tackle helps a lot with getting sacks as they don't roll out as much also worked on my friends.

Yea, pressuring the QB to force inaccurate throws is the only way you can contain the Robo-QB. I have my pass rush at 85 and CPU pass block at 30. That seems to be the only way.

If you do not play with someone who has a big impact on the crossing routes you will never play good defense. Man up and jump routes with your safety. People only run maybe 5 passing plays and a lot of people run the same ones over and over. Once you figure out what they are running start jumping the routes.

I make people quit because they can't score and I unleash the spread option on them out of the 4WR trio.

That's what I do is jump routes with my FS. I'm pretty good at it to, but I don't care if you jump them or not the double crossing route is almost impossible to stop.
