Shocked that there isn't a thread on this (considering its out in a week).

Anyone interested? Tried the beta? Anyone got it yet? Impressions, thoughts, anything!

First review seems pretty positive:

Game Informer

Is there a "Cop" or chase mode like Hot Pursuit?
It would be a blast to play that throughout an entire island!

Had no idea there was a beta, and the game doesn't come out for a week with little fan fair.

Well, I'm planning to get it since open world racing games are one of my favorite genres.

Must buy for me,I've been waiting for a better version of the first game and this seems to be it.

Yeah, same here but all the previews going on about the wonky handling are starting to scare me. The original's handling was serviceable and it wouldn't take much pushing in the wrong direction to topple the entire game.

I am also more than a bit pissed that GS pre-orders get an entire game mode (Casino) that other people will have to purchase via DLC. I can deal with a pre-order skin job. I could even deal with an exclusive preview/access to a game mode provided it was a limited time and then everyone got the mode for free. Because I cannot or do not wish to patron GS is no reason I should have to pay more for the game. In fact, the more I think about it the more I refuse to support this marketing practice.

Looking forward to this one quite a bit. The original was a sleeper hit. Not perfect but did some really cool things.
