ESPN.com BREAKING NEWS:
Tony Romo injured, status unkown.

DALLAS, TX
--Tony Romo was injured the first pre-season game of the 2010 season tonight. The injury and his status is currently unknown, but we are expected to get more information in a press conference tomorrow afternoon.

Romo was sacked by Raiders DT Richard Seymour and landed awkwardly on his throwing shoulder, bending his elbow virtually inside-out. The Cowboys franchise quarterback seemed to have been knocked unconscious, but was seen talking to doctors before being carted off the field.

We'll keep you informed with the latest news as we get it.

ESPN.com BREAKING NEWS:
Romo's career over.

DALLAS, TX -- "It seems like a bad dream, I just want to wake up" said the image of the Dallas Cowboys, Tony Romo.

Cowboys fans across the globe are sure to have shared those same words.

Romo held a press conference inside Cowboys Stadium this afternoon, as he tried to hold back tears, shocking the NFL telling everyone his career came to a sudden end this past Sunday.

"I broke nearly every bone in my throwing arm, it was the hardest hit I've ever taken" Romo said. "I have no ill feeling towards Richard Seymour, he was out there doing his job, getting the quarterback to the ground. He's a hell of a player."

"I'd like to thank coach Phillips, Jerry, everyone I've played with through high school til now, and especially the greatest fans in the world - the Dallas Cowboys fans."

Where does one of the most recognizable franchises in sports history go from here?

"It's gonna be a tough time these next few weeks, months, maybe even years. You can't just replace a player like Tony. He's one of the best quarterbacks in Cowboys history, he led us to the playoffs numerous times. We didn't get our hardware, but we can't thank Tony enough for lifting us up off the ground. We'd love for Tony to stay with the franchise in some capacity, whatever that may be. Thank you".

Those were the final words of the rather emotional press conference, coming from the mouth of the owner of the Cowboys; Jerry Jones.

ESPN.com BREAKING NEWS:
Brady out for entire 2010 season

BOSTON, MASS. -- It can't be happening again.

New England Patriots quarterback and the face of Boston sports is down and out again. Brady fractured his elbow in the final pre-season game and told reporters today he will miss the rest of the season.

Everyone remembers the 2008 season when Brady went down in the first game of the regular season, in stepped backup Matt Cassel, who didn't start any college games. Cassel went on to lead the Patriots to an 11-5 record just barely missing the playoffs.

Who's up next? recently acquired Matt Leinart. Is this Leinart's chance to shine? Patriots fans sure hope so.
