New to the game and need some help

I have not played a basketball game in like 10 years. I picked this up and played some quick games and got hooked. I am still learning a lot so bear with me

Can someone tell me the differences in all the Pro, All-star etc modes. Like what is way too hard and what seems to be the most common?

I messed around with MY PLAYER and got drafted by the Bucks in the 2nd round but was getting killed by 40 each game so I got pissed and deleted it and want to start over. I struggle a lot with meeting objectives and drills.

I left the defaults on at 5 min quarters in the Draft Combine games, what seems to be the norm?

What is the difference between Simulation and Default?

I`m sure I will have more but TYIA for any input.

Re: New to the game and need some help

playing 12 min quarters give you more time to make up for mistakes. as for drills pick the one you can consistently do best at. once you find out which one that is (for me its shooting), turn off auto save under game options, manually save it and do your drill. if you get gold, save the game when youre done, if you dont get gold (you can go for silver for just the 400 SP if you want), quit to the dashboard without saving and try again

Here's an idea, start on a comfortable level for your 1st year as a rookie..then every 2 years turn it up a notch

the best way to really succeed in MYplayer mode is to find a sig shot release that u'll fall in love with...makes it sooo easy when you're open off a pick or just open for a easy 3

and defense will improve over some games. actually, myplayer mode helped me become a better defensive player online since 1 on 1 is ayways there

ohh yeah and what dudeski stated....turn it up to 12min, it'll make a huge difference in progression

Turn up to 12 min quarter, i know its a lot, but once your in the nba and you think you get the right amount of points each night, just intentionally foul them and the coach will sub you off. 12 min quarters helps you achieve a lot, I am currently on season 2 with miami heat 91 ovr. Won ROY and MVP in rookie season
