how to update roster(s)? without patch>?

hey guys.. downloaded patch last night.. disliked it very much, so i uninstalled it (due to the play calling being on screen and so forth) however, i did like the updated rosters for teams.. just wondering if it's possible to update rosters without downloaded the latest released patch? i don't go online often so i wanted to update teams then stay offline.

Download the patch once, update the roster, remove the patch.

That or you have to manually update the rosters on your own.

so, i downloaded the patch yesterday.. everything updated as planned.. but i removed it from my hard-drive(by pressing 'Y') at the main menu. I did so, because i hated the play calls coming on screen with the box.. anyhow, will the roster stay updated?
