It's about 20.

I think it depends a little on the modes you're gonna play.
If you look around abit, you'll see the franchise (Be a GM) is really good, but has a few bugs.

The gameplay is great, and if you're playing mainly offline, you can pretty much setup the game exactly to your liking.

Most of the people whining is online players.

Me, I looooove this game, but I'm only playing offline.

Re: How good is this game??

I've just started a BeAGM after waiting months for accurate rosters (had to add players myself in the end). On the whole it's good. Consistently out-shooting the CPU by 35+ shots (and often still losing) can get tiresome, but that's been a problem for years. Positioning of your CPU team-mates can also be dumb. Still quite good fun offline.
EASHL (when not playing with or against idiots) is great fun.
I pre-ordered the game the last few years, but think I'll wait a few months next year, see what the bugs are like and if roster sharing is brought back, and maybe check out 2k for a change (if it comes back).

If you don't have NHL 10, then definately pick it up. I found a huge leap forward from 09 to 10. While there is not much improved in 11 (in some areas, there is actually, to me, regression), might as well pick up 11. See my comparison thread below for more on the differences between 10 and 11.

It's a good game, but there's flaw that can make the game annoying at time. I would say that if you're a hardcore hockey fan, you will go over these flaws and play the game.

If you're not, then it's up to you. As far as I'm concern, NHL 10 was a better hockey game overall than NHL 11, but 11 as so much new things and with Petr Puck roster, it's all fine for offline playing.

Re: How good is this game??

I really like NHL '11' too. Easily my favorite sports game.

Imo, the overall gameplay is quite good, and very enjoyable. However, I think finding the right playing level and slider combination is pretty important to getting the most outta the game. Not unlike most every other sports game out there.

I'm also an off-line most of the time gamer.
