Bernard Hopkins VS Jean Pascal DEC 18th

Pascal's surprising victory over Chad Dawson gets him some bigger money against the old man. Froch beat him handily two years ago for the WBC super middleweight title.

Does JP have a chance?

If he attacks and doesn't get discouraged easily then yes. If he allows B-Hop to maul him and control tempo he loses. Jean Pascal's stamina if I am correct has been iffy at times, but he needs to stay aggressive and keep the "old man" uncomfortable (easier said then done).

B-Hops style bores me to death. Unless he doesn't like you he won't pound on you . if it goes the right way B-hop wins in a decision. I don't think he has knock out power anymore, but he can catch'em with some good combos and jabs.

Couldn't agree more. B-Hop hasn't stopped anyone in over 6 years and I don't see that trend coming to an end anytime soon.

This is going to be an ultra-boring fight and I have no interest in watching it.
We finally got rid of Ruiz so I'm hoping for a nice Christmas present and Pascal retiring the old man.
He doesn't even fight anymore. It's nothing but slapping and hugging.

I know. The trouble is, he keeps winning.
But what bothers me is that no ref has the nuts to even warn him about the mugging he does in the ring.
Lampley and Merchant said it perfectly when they commented after Martinez's KO win that boxing needs more stoppages in big-name fights.

But you're never going to get that as long as you let fools like B-Hop slap/hug their way to boring 12 round decisions.

After this weekend, I think everyone's going to realize that Hopkins has no more drawing power so it's useless to fight him. Eventually, nobody's going to fight him because there's no reward to it.

His style would be great for heavyweights cause 95% of the fights are his type of style, but when he's in the light heavy, light those dudes fight , box, slug it out what ever. Then this punk steps in the rings and smothers people slap them in the kidneys a couple time then a jab then a combo then he smothers i don't think his fights have high punch counts on either side
