Re: clutch factor good or bad?

It keeps the game competitive. However, the default settings has it favoring the CPU far more than the user and so, I personally put it down to 20 to keep the possibility of a run in the 3rd/4th quarter in tact, but not as frequent.

The bad thing about clutch factor is that if it's too high and the CPU goes on a x-0 run you may feel 'cheated' out of a win but the good thing is, as mentioned above, it allows the game to be more competitive and allow runs to occur in vital moments.

I turn it off and the sliders to 0. Only problem is the CPU still catches up every game, so my games are always close or I get beat. I see no point in having it on since the game still cheats. I've seen the ball go through my players, blocked shots still go in the basket when they shouldn't, and kinds of stupid things happening.

Re: clutch factor good or bad?

I still wish we could get a definitive answer on what "clutch" really is because I've heard two explanations:

1 (not fair): keeps games close, and CPU might go on an unbelievable run

2 (fair): players like Jordan, Kobe, etc, take over games in the 4th quarter to preserve wins because they are "clutch" players

So...which is it really?

Since the patchI have not noticed the AI unrealistic runs. I have always turned it down from 35 to 10. I left it at Default sim (35) and I have been very happy with it.

Re: clutch factor good or bad?

I have yet to experience the clutch factor working against me. I've had it work for me. It matters to me when I do an association because if I see a guy who is mr. clutch it makes me want him more. Fi it says that he isn't clutch, screw that guy i want no part of him. I drafted a guy who had the highest clutch rating I've ever seen and in the first game I played with him, he scored the last 10 points of the game including the game tying and game winning 3. Clutch matters to me and I don't feel that it should be ignored and written off as cheating. I've never had a mediocre player take over the 4th.
