Hot/Cold Streaks Ruin This Game

After a month with this game, I've about had it.

The streaks in this game, the 'spurtability,' is game-killing.

FOR NO REASON, my team will start missing EVERYTHING. Lay-ups, open jumpshots, open three-pointers. Doesn't matter what my gameplan is. Doesn't matter if I'm shooting well-timed shots. Doesn't matter my substitutions. NOTHING MATTERS.

All while the CPU starts making EVERYTHING. Even if they are guarded. Even if they are double-teamed. Even if they're shooting fadeaways from the post with players who would NEVER shoot that shot, let alone make those type of shots.

The thing is, it's the same when I'm doing well. When I'm on a streak, it's equally ridiculous the shots I make sometimes. It all just feels out of my control. When I'm doing good, and when I'm doing bad.

This happens EVERY GAME, too. Just wtf moments, one after the other.

I've never played an NBA 2k game where the outcome felt so out of my control. That's the worst part. The entire thing feels arbitrary. Especially when the game stars throwing full-court passes that always find their man for easy lay-ups. You can totally see when the game has clicked into unstoppable. It's so frustrating, and if the patch doesn't cool this down, I'm done with this game. Not worth it anymore.

Re: Hot/Cold Streaks Ruin This Game

Did that and it has made no change. I literally can't notice a difference. I know others say they see a change, but I cannot. All the cheese still happens. One minute I'm up 15 in the second quarter, next minute I'm down 12 after going 0-12 and them going 6-6 from downtown. Worst part is, it's players who have no business making the shots they're making. Hands in the face, double-teamed, you name it, it doesn't matter.

I'll call timeouts to try to stop it, change defenses, but nothing works. I have a hard time believing others don't notice this. I've been a diehard 2k fan for years, and this is the worst it's ever been.

It's also noticeable when the game stops going for pump fakes, and literally becomes GLUED to all your offensive players. You can tell the game just turns a switch.

LOL this quote reminds me of Paul Millsap getting in god mode for Utah vs the Heat.

I originally had my sliders set at that, and alot of teams and star players would still have a quarter everytime where they can not hit a bucket. I usually always turn of clutch factor. Well the past week I turned it back on and set the attribute at 34... Ive been having some great games since then, so I don't know whats going on, but the Star players were making shots more consistantly and I wasn't going through constant droughts in quarters of not hitting any baskets.

Yeah it seems like every time I'm up big the other team's big men go into Paul Millsap mode and drain everything. A doofy backup power forward should be not hitting 15-foot fade-away jumpers with two guys practically molesting him lol
