Rediculous close-out speeds

The speed at which the defense closes out shooters is atrocious. Exhibit A:

EDIT: Sorry for the spelling.

Re: Rediculous close-out speeds

turn up gamespeed and turn down playerspeed (also quickness in the slidersettings) in association/season should fix this i imagine.

I haven't had problem with this aspect of the game. And the pictures don't really prove much.

I don't think this is a problem. The ability of defenders to recover fast enough after pump fakes to end up blocking your shot in front of you is worst. Plus the the weird quick sand effect when you drive into the paint.

Re: Rediculous close-out speeds

In My Player, I can constantly leave my man open to temp him to shoot then turbo recover to block the shot. In a playoff series against the Thunder I averaged 3 blocks per game with my 6'9" SF, all coming from close out blocks on Durant. I could literally stand at the foul line and be fast enough to recover.

Re: Rediculous close-out speeds

People do it to win games. Players do whatever is possible. The reason it doesn't happen on a real court is that it's not possible.

House rules to play "sim" ruin the game for many people. "No blocking from the FT line, no this, no that." Knowing there's something that can be done to win, but not doing it because it's a house rule, cheapens the game.

If a person can win every game, but doesn't just by limiting their own play, there's no real challenge.

Re: Rediculous close-out speeds

It was worse in 2k10, but it can definitely be improved upon. If I'm actually controlling the player, I can run a good distance and challenge the shot pretty quickly and unrealistically.
