Have you ever thrown a bounce pass...

I'm noticing in a lot of replays that the cpu teams are able to throw bounce passes all the time to cutters to the basket. When I throw the pass its a lob or straight pass to the player but never a bounce pass. If there is a way to throw it on the fly I would love to know how to do this. Any help would be great thanks!

Re: Have you ever thrown a bounce pass...

I've played the game quite a bit and never saw a bounce pass.

I believe it's LT and pass button...

Yes, but from my experience it's totally random. I never hold LT+X and have seen the bounce pass a few times. Yesterday I threw a pass to Kirilenko, held the turbo and shot stick towards rim for a dunk, and he ended up wrapping the ball around himself before slamming it. I think a lot of these animations are just random.

The user has no control over the types of passes they want to make. The CPU makes the choice for you.

Re: Have you ever thrown a bounce pass...

If 2K would just make passing like Madden or College Football where you tab the X button and you get a lob pass you hold it down you get a bullet pass. You hold down the LT button with the player ICON and every position represents a button (ie. (1) X, (2) [], (3) tri, (4) L1, (5) L2. Unless its like that now, but I thought you had to click the icon button chose the player then lead pass. Too much just to pass the ball to a player. Lead passing on the fly is the way to go in basketball. It just takes too much time to lead pass like I said unless I'm doing something wrong. Please help if that is the case.

Thanks!

This is a substantial issue, that has gotten very little attention. There are many situations where these are needed to avoid the defenses lurking hands, but never appear.
