Does anyone know for example why I equip Richard Hamilton as well as some other players with a particular shoe and if I change my mind and say remove shoe it makes the player disappear from the list?

You have to unlock that particular shoe first..

The shoe is unlocked and I go to it like normal...go to the Pistons for example. I select Hamilton and equip him and then I remove the shoe and then he disappears from the team list completely.
