Confessions of an Agent

This won't surprise anyone around here, but it was still an interesting read, though I'd share.

This story appears in the October 18, 2010 issue of Sports Illustrated

I will never forget the first time I paid a player.

There are moments you will always remember, like your first kiss or your first home run or the day you met your wife. For me, the first time I broke an NCAA rule to try to land a client is just as indelible.

Re: Confessions of an Agent

This story proves why only those licensed to practice law should be dually licensed to be NFL agents.

Yeah because we all know lawyers are the most honest people alive.

The article doesn't have anything to do with negotiating contracts.. it's about the ethics of paying amateur players as an avenue toward building a client base

And the person writing the article didn't even go to college. People who aren't lawyers have no business doing that job, the NFL brings this **** on itself by letting these losers have highly competitive jobs that they don't have the skills to begin to handle. Of course corruption will be rampant.
