having problem rebounding in the jordan challange

I have already beat all but 2 of the challanges in the jordan challange. Everytime I crash the boards with jordan he is getting beat for the rebound by another teamate. Does anybody know if there is an easy way to get rebounds every time with jordan? The most rebounds I have been able to get is 4 or 5.

I also had problems with the challenge to get 9+ rebounds the first time I tried. I'm going to revise my strategy when doing this challenge the next time, and you may find this useful, too.

1) I believe there is a coach slider to crash the boards. Just tell the rest of your team to not crash the boards by lowering the slider if you plan on trying to get more offensive boards.

2) You're playing with Dennis frickin Rodman, one of the greatest rebounders of all time, so of course he's going to beat you to all the boards. Sub him out manually more often to give you a better chance to snatch those boards. Not too much though, because you may need him to actually win the game.

Re: having problem rebounding in the jordan challange

i have a really easy way, but it requires manipulation of the rosters.

first thing i did was make jordan 7 foot 6. then i made his defensive rebounding 99.

i then edited the jazz roster to make them all terrible at shooting and rebounding. Also make sure you make them not be able to shoot 3s ( i did the same for the sonics roster)

finally, i edited rodmans rebounding down so he wouldnt steal boards either.

then when you are in the game, put jordan at center and rodman at power forward. Put crashboards all the way up, and put defensive pressure all the way down in the timeout screen.

in the game, camp the lane with jordan (without getting 3 in the key of course) and everytime the jazz player or sonic player misses, grab the rebound with jordan. I had 11 in the first half of the sonics game by doing this

I'm sorry, but help me understand ... what about doing all of this made the Jordan "challenge" fun for you? It probably took you more time to do all of that insane editing than it would if you just tried to grab 9 legitimate rebounds.

What's the point of 2K putting this mode in the game when people can "work around" it by making Jordan 7'6" and editing everybody else on the court to be bums? I'm not hating on you in-particular, but just the mind set in general. I've seen more than a handful of people suggest going this route in order to defeat these challenges and I cannot understand why. They're called challenges for a reason. Jordan grabbed 9 rebounds against the Sonics in '96, but I bet he didn't make himself 7'6" in order to do it.

why do all this when all it takes is:

1) start whichever challenge you want
2) once in game pause it and change difficulty option to EASY + CASUAL
3) move jordan to PF or C and put steve kerr at the other
4) ???
5) profit

personally, i keep my difficulty at higher levels because i want to earn these challenges. but if youre going to manipulate the game to make it easier, why change 50million settings/ratings/attributes when you only need to change the difficulty.

Re: having problem rebounding in the jordan challange

Changed subs to manual and I put a small lineup out there of harper, kerr, buechler, jordan, and pippen to start. Mike had 8 at halftime and then I just switched back to the regular rotations for the rest of the game

lmao @ editing Jordan to be 7 foot 6 though. I thought what I did was cheating haha

2-3 and only rebound when a big man is posting

if he tries to kick it out just be at a safe distance cuz 80% of the time theyre gonna try to take the shot
