How do you stop the pass?

About every game the QB for the other team will have have 90% completion percentage no matter how bad their team or how good my team is. The only time they don't complete it is when i hit the QB and it wobbles out.

Can you guys give me a defensive play or plays that will stop the pass. I don't even care if it give up 20 yard runs every time, i need to stop the pass.

what D are you running? Do you play zone or man?

For me I play 4-3 and sub the OLB as hard hitting CB's or safeties. That way they can cover and tackle.

You also have to mix the D and read what the O is doing. Mix in zone blitzes, man coverage and understand the tendencies of the team your playing.

If your DB's arent good at pressing and you press, you will get burned everytime. Look at your CB's ratings and see if they are good at man or zone and play towards that. I always blitz though when calling zone, cause this game has huge holes in zone D.

Edit: Also check your sliders. Alot of people tone done passing accuracy, both human and CPU, cause after the 2nd patch, pass D changed a bit. I use SEC sliders and those work well for me.

I've got my passing accuracy sliders set down to 15 for both human AND CPU. It's STILL no picnic stopping the CPU but it's more realistic. He'll throw errant passes now and then. And as for the human, it's nice because you can't throw wild off-balance perfect passes all day long, you have to try and get set. Not to say you can NEVER throw on the run etc but it's harder, as it should be.

yep, I think mine are the same. Also with these sliders, the more pressure you get on the QB, the worse the accuracy; just like in real life.

In my dynasty I run a very vanilla 3-4, with a cover 3 base. I almost always blitz the WLB and will sometimes bring the SLB or one of the MLB. I manually use the other MLB and cover the middle of the field with the SS. This D serves as a good D for stopping the run and a good D for limiting big plays in the pass game, teams may drive on you but overall I have had good success with this.

If I had more talent on my team I'd mix in more pressure/man coverage but I don't so I play it safe.
