Offence gameplay help!!

K I'm really liking the game so far, but I just can't play a good game against the CPU on all star level. When on offence things just don't work for me, any suggestions about what to do on offence? And can some1 plz tell me a few good moves to evade/get around the defender? Driving into the paint has been impossible for me.

Play to your team's strengths. If you have a good front court. Call a lot of plays that isolate your guy in the post. If you have a good shooting team (although shooting is tougher this year), call a lot of cross and off ball screen plays to get guys in position to catch and shoot. If you have a slashing team, call a lot of plays with back cuts and isolations.

I have not yet figured out what those play names all mean. Can some1 explain their meanings to me? Like I press L1 and press x for my PG and 4 plays come up but I don't know what they are.

Watch all the Ten teams in ten days videos and also any Da Czar videos.
Also losing is a really good way to learn, I lost my first 9/10 games. Watch the Cpu and learn from what there doing. You not getting to rim at will sounds bad, but is a very good thing.
