For some reason, after I started using My Player, whenever I try to play a regular non-My Player exhibition game, I am locked into the pg position. The same position as my My Player. Is this a glitch? Is there a player lock option that will allow me to turn this off. I can't seem to find it.

Go to controller settings (or setup) and change preffered position to none.
