Losing the puck while dekeing

Can someone please explain to me how to remain in control of the puck while dekeing. I always seem to lose possesion from it either becoming a loose puck or from getting body checked while attempting to deke past a defender.

How do I prevent this?

Also, how do I score a wrap around goal?

Re: Losing the puck while dekeing

Practice first of all. And beyond that it's based on attributes. Dekeing and puck control would be the two main ones, I'd assume. As for being checked while dekeing that's mostly just not picking the right spot to deke or doing the wrong move. You need to learn to adapt to each specific situation and know which way to go with it. Boosting your strength attribute will also help you resist hits so you can hopefully bounce off the defender and keep going.

As for a wrap around you have to hold L2 if we are talking PS3 while behind the net and then attempt a shot.

Re: Losing the puck while dekeing

They do lose the puck way too much when dekeing. Patrick Kanes puck control is something like 90 and he loses it every time in this game. Even if he is CPU controlled. Might have to "over exaggerate" the attributes to get "realistic" puck play.
