Gamestop still advertising NBA Elite 11 in Canada

I was just at my Gamestop in Calgary and they still have the displays out and are still taking pre-orders.

Could they still have it/be getting it? or are they 2 steps behind everybody else?

Best Buy Canada website still has Oct 5 as the release date

I'm not sure why they would stop taking pre-orders. The game has a new release date of April 2nd, 2011. My guess is they are still advertising it because they want fans of the series to know that the game will still be available, albeit at a later date.

My local GS still has the box-art out for display and is still taking pre-orders.

i was at gamestop today picking up my preorder for 2k11 and the elite poster was still next to the 2k11 poster except the release date was covered up with white tape. it was also surrounded by copies of 2k11.

ya, i was at the Best Buy near Glendeer Circle in Calgary today and they had Elite 11 tags and thought that it might be out - no hold back or delay. Never thought to ask, as i am getting 2k11,
