New to the 2k series & have a couple of questions

What's going on fellas? I'm new to the whole 2k thing since I've been an EA loyalist since the early 90's. Anyways, since Live was canceled/postponed this year, I will be buying NBA 2k11.

My main questions are about accessories, primarily sneakers and socks. As riduclious as this might sound to most, socks and sneakers are deal breaker and to me and have been a reason why I haven't switched over to the 2k series a lot sooner. From what I've read, over the years Live has been a step ahead of the 2k series when it came to the number of shoes they have in the game. With that being said, how do you guys feel about this years selection and are they editable. Also, I didn't see an accessory thread for you guys like we had over on the Live board. Do you guys have the producers of the game interacting with you all to submit changes for weather a player has changed shoe brands and then they can apply the changes? (I.E. Gilbert Arenas now wears Nike and Derek Fisher now wears Adidas)

Also, can sock color be edited. For me, there is nothing worst than a road team wearing white socks with black sneakers. Makes the game unplayable for me.

I know most of you guys are going to wonder why the hell I even care about a thing like this, but for whatever reason, this has always been a "thing" for me. Any insight would be appreicated outside "Go back to Live if you care about things like that so much" lol

they have a ton of shoes this year you unlock the full list of jordans and other models. the jordan give special attributes to the guy you assigned them on.
you can edit the color of the socks for home and away.

Thanks amra01. Since this is the case, I now feel comfortable to buy the game when it release next week.

Also, do you guys get an opportunity to speak with the producers who do the accessories updates? Since Live 09' us Live users have been able to submit accessories updates to the producer that handled that aspect of the game and they would update the information we provide them with visual aides (Game Photos). This was a great way to have the game always feel up to date and most in importantly to be able to change a players shoe brand if he went with another brand mid season (I.E. Kyle Lowry going from Adidas to Nike mid-season last year) and the producers updating that for us.
