Be a Pro defense achievements

My brother and I are playing the be a pro manager mode and his pro doesnt not gain anything in the defense achievements. When he makes a sliding tackle or standing tackle it doesnt register yet he still getting what i think is mental achievements, points for aggression after so x number of tackles

is anyone else experiencing this?

For some reason, the defense accomplishments can only be gained when your virtual pro is playing as a defender (CB, RB, LB). I don't like it but it was like this last year as well.

I like it that way. This way people have to earn their defensive players abilities, and not just spam tackle to get the achievements.

Last night instead of playing my career I made my guy a defence and midfielder and played exhibition games to get certain things done. Midfield was good to build stamina for my striker.

Also if you want 9/10 ratings playing defence on 4-5 min halves was very easy to get.
