NBA Elite 11 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3, 360)

The NBA Elite 11 demo is available for PS3 users. If you don't see it, just use the search function in the PSN Store, it weighs in at 923 MB.

The 360 demo should be arriving at around 5:00 - 9:00AM EST. When it is available, we will update this post.

can i at least see some gameplay footage from the demo like 2k is doing i mean seriously ..are you all scared to show the gameplay or what..elite has really been hiding this game and im tired of it...was good ..be true to your fans

I'm not liking the movement at all. Everything feels sluggish and forced. Not smooth at all. Only played a couple of min but, so far I'm not liking te feel of the game.

I like the fact they're trying something different but, its not coming off well. Did they say how far along the demo is versus the retail copy?

If i had to base my decision on this, I'd be picking Elite 11 only to play NBA Jam.

When I get home from work tomorrow I'll invest some more time. Looking forward to reading this while at work tomorrow from some OS bball vets (23, pared, flightwhite, bcruise etc.) and see what they think.

Coupla quick initial impressions:

Controls seem very different, but as the tutorials walk you through them, they actually feel pretty good, and aren't too jarringly different coming from the previous scheme.

Graphics aren't bad as they seemed in the vids, IMO, and it moves pretty smooth. This is why I am starting to hate watching vids of games, not just Elite, but in general. Because I get it on my screen in front of me and it always seems the vids don't do the real thing justice, for some odd reason.

The actual movement, in some of the dunks and the layups, seem to be a bit exaggerated, and when taking off it looks like they explode upwards kinda quick toward the rim.

I like the total control. They will have a nice learning curve. Passing with R2/RTrigger just throws me off. The animations needs alot of help. But I keep playing. It's really something different.

Well I said initially this is what you'd feel since there is no sprint button and how they feel.. so people saying the people were cheesing in the video, now they'll see that they werent out there just playing cheese ball

I wonder if there will be an option to turn on the sprint button...has anyone looked in the settings at all or anything? I haven't had a chance to boot up the game yet, but I'm itching to.

About two weeks of active development off the retail version.

Should feel pretty much like the final game, enough to pass a fair judgment.

Shot difficulty tuning and the Boozer rocket dunk are probably two of the bigger changes that went into the final version.

But for the most part what you see in the demo is what you'll get in the day one retail version.
