Rebounding mechanics changed severely from 2K10 to 2K11, whatīs your take ?

I canīt be the only one noticing this, can i ? There is very little boxing out happening, basically everbody jumps as high as they can and the someone ends up with the ball, often resulting in rebounds in traffic that happen above ring level.

I thought 2K10 finally got it right, lots of rebounds below ring-level, good box-outs (but also the right amount of screw ups in that regard), so for me the demo is a big step backwards in that regard.

Anybody else feel that way ?

I just assume it's the difficulty level. I hadn't really payed attention to boxing out but it appears they don't really box out. For the most part though the Lakers do out rebound. They're just so big..

The thing that sticks out like a sore thumb is how high everyone jumps for them. Everyone looks like D12 or Oden on the boards.

They've got some good rebound animations as always though. Saw fisher get one going out of bounds and caught it with one hand, sorta bobbled it before gaining control.

you see plenty of boxing out in 2k10 because they're usually bunched up in the middle...2k11 has way better spacing this time around which is why you dont see that many boxing out...

i like it this way...looks way more realistic

What needs to happen down the line is that 99 jumping for a 7' center shouldn't equal 99 jumping for a 5'10" PG. I mean, someone created a 7'6" center with 80 jumping and his hands were touching the back board on one of those athletic player put back rebound misses. Y'all know the one where they jump REALLY high with both hands straight up and their knees inexplicably bent?

And it should be that for dunks, rebounds, jumpballs, and blocks. In fact, I should nevers ee someone like Ilgaskus(sp?) jumping pretty much ever.

And players with length, height, and strength should be getting rebounds using pretty much those three things only. Only Jamario Moon, Josh Smith, LeBron, Dwight Howard, and young Alonzo Mourning get rebound by out jumping everyone else.

I just hope this "new mechanic" help undersized players like Rodman and Blair be dominant players on crashing the boards. This is my only gripe with this aspect, only bigs seem to be dominant or consistent at all.
