What was a perennial must see game in the 1990's has really fallen off the last few years with UT rebuilding. This year both teams are in rebuild mode and neither has looked that impressive. The game is in Knoxville and it's still Florida/Tennessee.

The Gators are dealing with the Chris Rainey nonsense and it will be this young team's first test away from Gainesville. I'm going to call the upset here and see Tennessee's Derek Dooley getting his first big win 23-12.

I can see Tennessee winning a close one and then all the media forgetting about the Oregon throttle.

Or vice versa with Florida/Miami/USF

The ball would have to bounce Tennessee's way in every way, shape and form for the Vols to win this one.

Slow fist half for both teams (Florida's trademark this year), but Florida's defense will keep the Vols from scoring a TD. Florida has more depth, yet a lot of it is inexperienced, but they should pull away in the second half as the passing game gets going and capitalizes on some turnovers.

Gators 24 Vols 9

I can't wait for this one!

You are way more optimisitic about this game than I...I have yet to be impressed by any facet of the Gators this year. Yes, their defense has forced some turnovers, but it was Miami freakin' Ohio and USF. Until they do it against teams with a pulse I'm not excited. Throw in how young they are, the Rainey crap, and being on the road and I just don't feel a win at this point.

I expect Tennessee to lose by 2-3 touchdowns.

Tennessee just got throttled at home by Oregon.

Florida has had a slower start then usual, but Oregon completey shredded Tennessee. Tennessee does not have a good team this year. I will not be surprised if the score is close at halftime, but I expect Florida to win by 2-3 touchdowns.

I think UF wins, but it won't be a blowout. Last year, a loaded UF team playing at home with EVERY reason imaginable to blowout UT still didn't do it.

Tennessee didn't look too bad the first half vs. Oregon. Let's give the Ducks some credit too that is a pretty talented offense that can explode and put points on the board fast.... Volunteers will want to open up SEC with a big win at home. These conference battles can be closer than people expect that's why I wouldn't expect anything but a dogfight from Tennessee. I think Florida could win this because of the play makers on that team, but wouldn't be shocked to see a Volunteer upset.
